SOPHIA + GRANT | FANK LLOYD WRIGHT PRIVATE ESTATE | TULSA, OKLAHOMA

A “night before” gathering was held at Westhope, a historic Frank Lloyd Wright residence in Tulsa. Sophia and Grant wanted to host guests for an evening of great food and music, and the dress code for the night was elevated cowboy. We were inspired by the original terra-cotta floors in the home – a nod to the famed Oklahoma red earth. We custom-painted bars to match the floors and brought in lots of ceramics and potted plants to complement the existing architecture. The florals nod to Japanese Ikebana, as Frank Lloyd Wright drew inspiration for much of his architecture from his study of Japanese design. He once said Japan is “the most nature-inspired country on earth.
