ELISE & CHAD | DOS PUEBLOS RANCH, SANTA BARBARA, CA

Elise and Chad wanted to find a place that had a view, was a blank palette to work with, and in an area not too far for friends and family to travel to. Dos Pueblos Ranch offered all of that and it was only a 15 minute drive from Bacara Hotel and Spa, where guests stayed. A circular altar was decorated with silver foliage, hydrangea, protea and other seasonal blooms. The seaside cocktail hour spot was transformed from a grassy knoll to a cozy lounge with flowing white fabric and neutral colored furniture. A donkey set the tone for guests to take a shot and a photo and get into the mood to head to dinner. Elise wanted guests to walk into the barn and feel like they were at an elevated dinner party/sexy lounge vibe. We covered the barn floors in a black sisal carpet, and draped the walls with dark velvet. It was cozy and personal and layered with texture and elements. We had fun designing this with the girls at Moon Canyon to create a space that was rustic on the outside, but a sexy lion’s den on the inside. An art installation was painted behind the band to bring in one of the brides favorite wallpaper designers, while dinner tables were adorned with cloches that were filled with dark tone florals and surrounded by olive branches and candlelight. The lounge shelving elevated the space with various cloches filled with with botanicals, crystals, feathers, vintage books, green foliage and candles in onyx holders.
