Emily + Siddhartha’s Abundant Love

For their wedding, Emily and Siddhartha wanted to celebrate not only their love, but the natural bounty and sweet refinement of California’s wine country. With thoughtful design elements, powerful color choices and a gorgeous venue, we were able to highlight the peaceful nature of Napa’s rolling hills and green vineyards.

The invitation suite, created by Yonder Design, was thoughtful and well curated. With a unique horizontal orientation and muted color tones, the cards added style and reflected the understated elegance of the day. It was the perfect way to set the rustic yet modern tone for the wedding.

Emily’s garden-inspired bouquet was a sight to see, tying in richly colored dahlias, sweet smelling jasmine, and gorgeous greenery. Natalie Bowen Designs tied it all together with a hand-dyed silk ribbon. The bouquet and the bride were stunning. The groom and wedding party added to the vivid color pops, looking dashing in various shades of blue.

In classic Indian tradition, the groom traveled with friends and family to the venue, encircled by loved ones while dancing to hit Bollywood songs and the beats of traditional Indian dhol drums. And when they arrived at the barn, Emily and her side of the party joined in the celebration, a beautiful blending of the joining families.

Guests were then led to the dreamiest of ceremony sites: a large, wooden structure with airy, white drapery. The neutral palettes of white and green florals were highlighted with wooden elements, creating a relaxed and natural atmoshpere for Emily and Siddhartha to begin the rest of their lives. The service was perfectly blended with Hindu, Jewish, and non-denominational elements to create a personal and beautiful moment.

As the celebration continued into cocktail hour, pops of color were introduced through the florals and intimate lounge settings. Soft pinks and bright raspberry tones in the flowers brightened the space, while the vintage rentals from Found grounded the space in luxurious comfort.

Multiple design elements throughout the night gave nods to the couple’s love of fresh food, local markets and the abundance of California’s wine country. The escort card display utilized fruits and veggies, which were nestled in wooden market crates. And all the fine produce served as a delicious parting gift to guests.

Guests were wowed when they finally entered the barn for the reception. They were greeted with abundant greenery, vivid florals, and bountiful produce that added natural warmth and wonder. Organic wood tones and textures paired with linen runners along the farm tables added to the pastoral feel.

Jessica Lasky Catering sourced local cheeses, fruits and vegetables for the most delicious family style meal. Marble platters on each table were engraved with the couple’s monograms, adding to the touches of elegance and personality of the evening. The enjoyment was capped with a smattering of their favorite desserts in leu of traditional cake. Such a sweet way to end the evening.

There was bounty and colorful brilliance in all elements of Emily and Siddhartha’s beautiful celebration. The entire event was a true reflection of the joyful and abundant spirit of their love.

An Indian Wedding in New Jersey

From the moment we met Saiba and Blake, we knew their wedding would be filled with unique elements. Both Saiba and Blake wanted their wedding to have a vintage Indian look that also evoked a feeling of warmth with personal touches. It was important to the couple that both of their backgrounds were represented as well.

Since Saiba is Indian, the duo followed the tradition of having a Baraat as well as a traditional Indian ceremony.  The view at Natirar provided the perfect backdrop for their stunning Mandap. Then, before the reception they both changed into the traditional white dress and tuxedo.

Their guests had an amazing time dancing to their DJ (the proof is in the photos below) and then noshing on the delicious cake made by Momofuku Milk Bar cake (a must for the couple).

Last year we announced our involvement in Cupcake Vineyards’ “Love Deliciously Dream Wedding” contest, which took place via Pinterest. Val and Lee—the lucky winners— were gifted with the ultimate wedding package, including photography by Elizabeth Messina and design planning services from us. And now, their romantic, dreamy, laid-back day is now featured in full over on Green Wedding Shoes!

Both the couple are adventurers who love hiking, camping, canoeing, etc. Mixed with their appreciation for design and movies and their overall great taste, the inspiration for the wedding started with Wes Anderson’s film Moonrise Kingdom. Their venue, a remote private campground in the middle of the Ocala National Forest, was the perfect fit. We incorporated details such as a canvas tent, oil lamps, a custom made flag that said “Camp Waters,” a neutral palette, textural floral elements, and vintage-inspired postcards for guests to fill in with best wishes and funny.

It was so great working with this awesome couple, and we’re so excited to share their wedding!

In the Press: Courtenay and Larrison on Martha Stewart Weddings

Last summer we worked with Courtenay and Larrison to bring their wedding weekend to life. These hands-on brides crafted quite the vision, mainly inspired by Tiki elements and the innate style of Palm Springs. We loved the ceremony and Tiki-Q dinner party, followed by dinner and dancing the night after. And these gals really fused color and patterns in such an impactful way.

Now you can see the wedding weekend in full, over on Martha Stewart Weddings.

In the Press: Katie and J.D. on Style Me Pretty

Another one of our recent California weddings made its debut today on Style Me Pretty! We’re super excited to share Katie and J.D.’s elegant yet relaxed celebration, which is completely charming. It took place on the bride’s family’s ranch, and unlike most of the times when that happens, the bride’s father actually built the massive tent himself. In addition to some hands-on work by dad, the talented team that worked with the couple on this event crafted loads of loveliness, like the top notch flowers that were present from start to finish.

In The Press: Stacey and Austin’s Anderson Ranch Wedding on Snippet & Ink

Last summer we had the pleasure of working with Stacey and Austin for their Wine Country wedding. The soft and romantic color palette and various textures made it a truly beautiful wedding. We kept a lot of the decor on the rustic side to seamlessly incorporate the natural California setting, and added touches like lavender sprigs on each place setting.

And now, we’re honored to share the full story and all the lovely photos over on Snippet & Ink! See it right here.

In The Press: Carly and Alejandro’s Carmel Wedding in C Magazine

Carly and Alejandro’s October wedding in Carmel Valley just debuted in C Magazine. This Santa Lucia Preserve celebration reflected many elements of the couple’s relationship—which dates all the way back to the third grade, when they first met. We loved planning and designing this wedding and are honored that it’s featured in the magazine.

Alex and Tommy’s Bahamas Destination Wedding

Alex and Tommy decided The Bahamas were the best location for their 140-person destination wedding, specifically Harbour Island’s Pink Sands Resort, the land of pink sands and clear blue waters, where their ceremony would take place. Following the service, there was a traditional Junkanoo band that lead guests to cocktail hour and the reception at a private estate, which required taking a short boat ride to get to. After a Bahamian-themed dinner, guests danced under the stars, ate cake shaped like the groom’s home state of Texas, and enjoyed fireworks at the end of the night.
