I had the pleasure of checking out Paw’s Up Resort recently with the lovely Jen from Green Wedding Shoes and some other wedding industry friends. I can’t even tell you what a blast we had (see above bullseye knife throw for evidence). We did just about any activity you can imagine in the outdoors: Axe throwing, fly fishing lessons, we shot guns (yep, real guns), we went rafting, horseback riding, had an epic bonfire, ate till our faces turned blue. All in all, I’d say it was one of my favorite adventures of all time.
In short, Paws Up is now my new favorite destination wedding venue. They can accommodate a large group for a wedding of about 150-200 guests. There are 28 private homes on the property (all with different setups, from 1 bedroom to 4) and 24 luxury tents. The property is totally ideal for a really activity oriented crowd that loves to be outdoors in the sunshine. There are a few different indoor spaces you can use for a wedding, but my personal favorite is the restaurant down by the river with the black and white striped drapes because it’s a gorgeous mix of indoor/outdoor space.
Anyway, check out the post on Green Wedding Shoes for more info about the property and let us know if you’re interested in hearing more about this beautiful place, we’d love to hear from you!
P.S. – Most photos by the always amazing Mel Barlow, but I did sneak a couple of my own pics in here too
