While your first thought when it comes to your wedding invitation might be what it will look like, what it says is just as important. The etiquette behind wording an invitation depends on a whole list of details, from who’s hosting (read: paying) to whether the ceremony is religious or secular to whether your parents are divorced and remarried. Who knew?

Thankfully, we’ve got the fabulous team over at Hello!Lucky to help you navigate all the options. Here are six of the most common variations, but if these don’t quite fit your situation, you can find even more in my All the Essentials Wedding Planner!
